Candy Cane Lane - December 5, 2025
Throughout the month of November, families are encouraged to donate a variety of new or very gently used items from home. All items should be clean, in good condition, and suitable for gifting—nothing broken, stained, ripped, oversized, or too heavy, as students need to be able to carry their chosen items themselves. Then, on December 5, 2025, students will have the opportunity to “shop” from the donated items, selecting gifts for their loved ones for just $2 each. Volunteers will also be available to wrap the gifts, allowing students to take home beautifully wrapped presents ready to share.
Volunteers
Every great event relies on volunteers—many hands truly make light work! We’re looking for helpers to assist with gift wrapping, act as shopping assistants, and support with set-up the day before and clean-up after the event. If you’re able to lend a hand, please sign up using the button below.
Day of the Event
On Friday, December 5, 2025, Candy Cane Lane will be open from 8:30am to 3pm and all students will have the opportunity to go and “shop”, for five items each, with their class. They can purchase items for a parent, sibling, grandparent, friend etc. All items will be $2.00 and will be wrapped and labelled to take home.
From 2:30pm - 3pm, students along with their families are welcome to come back and shop from whatever donations may still be available.
Donations
Suggested donations include toys, jewelry, craft supplies, games, kitchen and household items, tools, sporting goods, pet items, and handmade crafts. Please note we are not accepting clothing, costumes, food, plants, or partially used hygiene or beauty products. We are especially in need of items for our “Dad” table, which tends to have the fewest options.
Donations can be dropped off in your child’s classroom Candy Cane Lane box from November 3–28.
We also need plenty of gift bags, tissue paper, and sticky gift tags (no wrapping paper or tape needed this year). These can be dropped off in the front foyer.
